It's Good To Be Home

The weekend was uneventful but we stayed busy doing things around the house. With the last day of March closing in, the longer days are bringing more time to work in the yard and enjoy nice weather. Lucas spends his outdoor time in a front pack so he can see what's going on and, most likely, suck his thumb.
What a face! He figured out he could move in this walker but it wore him out fast.
Brent planted 6 rose bushes in our rose garden today. Lillian helped with the initial mowing.
Polly Pocket rules!
The wind blows 364 days a year at our house. Perfect for flying a kite!

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It's Off To Work I Go!

Yes, Monday brought the dreaded day... return to work. As a result, the blog has suffered but I plan to make an update this weekend. Don't expect too much until after Memorial Day when I finally finish the school year.

Lucas is doing fine with my neighbor, Michelle. He is still happy and healthy. Lillian's schedule hasn't changed much except she now stays at Kiddie Kollege until after naptime. My day starts early (around 5 a.m.) and ends around 10 p.m. when I finally crawl into bed, hoping both kids sleep without waking until morning. Brent has been a huge help (as always) and has taken over some cleaning and cooking.

Here's to life in the 21st century...

More Easter

We spent Sunday with Grandma Charlotte and PaPa in Apache.

Lillian shows off her Easter basket

Next year, Lillian is hoping her cousins will hunt eggs with her. It's not fun when you're the only kid hunting eggs! I guess Lucas will be in on the action, too.

Happy Easter

Easter took place with lots of activites that included coloring and hunting eggs, jumping on trampoline, riding a golf cart, seeing grandparents, and taking pictures. Hope everyone had an "eggy" day!

Yes, there was some of this, too!

From The Mouth of a 4 Year Old

Lillian wants to get bunk beds when Lucas gets older and talks about how fun it will be. She recently decided that she will get the top bunk. Then, she added a new twist. "When we have a baby sister, let's get triplet beds!"

First of all, no guarantees on a sister (or a brother for that matter)

Secondly, if it means they will all sleep through the night, I'm all for it!

Busy, Busy Weekend

The week was busy but the weekend was busier! We did lots of fun things and took tons of pictures. Here is a sampling:

Our neighborhood had a Spring Fling for the kids on Sunday afternoon. Lillian and Morgan were partners in the egg toss. They won in a 3 way tie! (The egg was made of steel!)

We went to the Omniplex (or whatever it's called now) with Grandma Charlotte and PaPa on Monday.

Lillian and Cole played outside Saturday night.

This was Lillian's favorite part of the Omniplex.

Lucas spent his time asleep and being held by Grandma.

Happy St. Patty's Day! None of us wore green today so no pictures.

Busy Week

Lots of things happened last week starting with Grammy coming up to celebrate my birthday. Lillian got a bubble machine out of the deal.

Brent and Lillian planted lettuce, potatoes, onions, and carrots.

We made bunny sugar cookies for Easter.

Uncle Ty and Aunt Heather joined us for supper Friday night. Ty's dog, Nuts, made the trip. He and Lillian had a great time outside. It was a beautiful spring evening.

Tricks of the Trade

Lillian wanted new Band-aids tonight from Walmart but she was told she had to wait until the ones at home were gone. Because there was only 1 box left of the kind she wanted, she craftily pushed that box behind a stack of other Band-aids like she was hiding it. Now, where did that come from?!?!

Kaptain Kodak

Here are pics of the weekend:

No exciting trips this weekend; just hanging out at home. Brent got his new camera so we played with it, taking pictures of the kids, a bird, the yard, etc. It may be hard to tell a difference in the quality of pictures on the blog but I am amazed at the technology of this camera. We were living in the Dark Ages with a 2 megapixel dinosaur!

The time change was a wonderful thing at our house! Lucas slept 11 hours Sat. night- it would have been 12 without the change. Last night, he slept 10. I think it's safe to say he is sleeping through the night. He was one hungry little boy when he woke up this morning! I'm feeling so rested, I don't know what to do with the excess energy. With the beautiful weather predicted this week, I plan to channel some of it to the yard and flower beds. Brent marked off a spot in the backyard for a rose garden. Looks like that is the next project!

Awwwwww...

As I was putting Lucas to bed tonight, Lillian leaned over to kiss his head and said, "Goodnight, Lukey. I'm so glad you're here."

How sweet! I wonder if she'll think that in a few years...
