Fall Break: Part 1- Calvert, TX

On our way to visit Heather and Jesse in Houston, we stopped in a little town in Texas called Calvert.  Such a neat place! Lotsof little shops and unique architecture- worth the stop!

Celebrating

We celebrated 10 years of marriage with a trip to Playa del Carmen last week.

They treated us like honeymooners: we had lots of extra amenities since it was for a special occasion.  I loved the rose petals on the bed and the towel animals.

*Flashback*

A big post in coming to document our trip to Orange Beach, Alabama, but in the meantime, here is a look back at past beach trips.

Ski Trip

Brent and I spent a 3 day weekend in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The skiing was really nice and the temps were in the 30s. We stayed at a neat little place called The Lodge. There isn't anywhere to stay on the mountain so we stayed in town and drove up to the ski resort each morning.

The views were amazing!

This is the Chipmunk Center for kids.

We practically had the place to ourselves!

Day 3

The last day of our vacation was spent in the hotel pool and the San Antonio Children's Museum.
Everything was kid-size and completely interactive! Lillian could have stayed all day. Lucas loved doing things big kids do. Their favorite parts were the ball factory and the HEB grocery store, complete with shopping carts and a working cash register.
